Después de haberse confirmado oficialmente que el Pizzería La Nonna jugará en Primera Nacional la próxima temporada, el Club Deportivo Balopal puede anunciar ya el primer fichaje del nuevo proyecto. Aunque, más que un fichaje, es un regreso.
Se trata de Javier Sanz, el primera línea salido de las categorías inferiores del Balopal y que la temporada pasada debutó en Primera Nacional con el Balonmano Delicias. En su primera campaña en la categoría terminó entre los 15 máximos goleadores de la competición con un total de 133 (4.43 por partido), mientras que en su última temporada con el Pizzería La Nonna metió 105 goles, a una media de 6.56 por partido.
El regreso de Sanz se convirtió en una prioridad para el club desde el momento en el que se supo que había muchas probabilidades de recibir una plaza para jugar en Primera Nacional, y el jugador ha demostrado en todo momento su predisposición para regresar al Pizzería La Nonna, esperando hasta la confirmación del futuro del equipo para tomar una decisión sobre dónde jugará la temporada que viene.
Durante la temporada pasada, y a pesar de no jugar con el primer equipo del club, Sanz continuó trabajando como entrenador en las categorías inferiores del Balopal, y ahora regresa también para jugar en la que es su casa.
